OCTOBER 12-16th Goshen, Indiana
It's time to start getting plans underway for the 2011 National Convention. Here are just a few items that we can start thinking about and working on now. I hope you will contact me and step up to make this 20th Anniversary Convention one to remember.
The Quilt Project Help us celebrate RVW's 20th Anniversary with a commemorative quilt! All chapters are requested to help us build the RVW 20th anniversary quilt to be auctioned off during the 2011 convention in Goshen, Indiana. Just send in a “fat quarter.” (For non-quilters, that is simply an 18” x 22” piece of 100 percent cotton fabric.)
The design on the material should in some way represent your chapter’s location, activities or name: i.e., lobsters and crabs from the northeast, cactus or Native American designs from the southwest, canoes or bikes from chapters that participate in those activities, etc. You decide what design best represents your chapter.
Our quilt volunteers, Libbi Jacoby and Vicki Eident, will turn your fabric into a finished quilt that represents all of RVW. Fat quarters should be sent to Convention Chair Linda Elliott at 436 Venus Drive, Indianapolis IN 46241. If you have questions about how to create a fat quarter, call Libbi Jacoby at (812) 876-3784 (home) or (812) 322-7581 cell or Linda Elliott at (317) 244-8971.
Posted deadline was January 1, but we've only
heard from 8 chapters and are extending the deadline. Please contribute.... we still need your help!
Volunteers It's never to early to let me know if you can help. Please contact me at elliottbear2@aol.com or 317-244-8971.
Silent Auction Here we go again.... we need your donations. When you start doing your spring cleaning, remember to start pulling out things that you can donate to RVW. Think about all the wonderful items that you just know someone else might want, and can use.... and it's for a good cause!
Keep watching the website for further information about tours, camping and registration.
Thanks for your help,
Linda Elliott 2011 Convention Coordinator
